Straight Drive with Coach Srinivasan

C-Caring,O-Optimistic,A-Approachable,C-Creative,H-Hardworking.This about summarizes our Coach at Gen-Next Srinivasan. Extremely caring, in-fact loves parenting the wards under his care. An Optimist to the core, believes that every child is special, having some unique talent. he is most approachable to anyone who wishes to seek his valuable advice at Gen-next. Of course he is very creative at his innovative training methods.

In this edition of Straight Drive we feature our Coach Srinivasan. We are very fortunate to have a coach like him. Like all our other coaches and staff, Cricket is his first love.

Such is his dedication and love for Cricket, that he plies between Tambaram and T.Nagar twice daily on his two wheeler, a distance of around 100 kms put together. His is a family of three consisting of himself, his wife who is a home maker and his son who is currently doing his graduation at Guru Nanak college.

Ashwin noticed the coaching prowess in him and asked him if he would be interested in joining Gen-next as a coach. Since then there has been no looking back as far as Srinivasan is concerned. He comes across as a very humble and self effacing person. He was quite candid and straight when expressing his thoughts on coaching. As per him Cricket runs in his blood and he has nothing else in his thoughts other than Cricket.

Coach Srinivasan on difference between Yesteryear Cricket and the Game Today:
He added by saying that in the past there were aggressive players and even now there are aggressive players, the only thing that has changed is the emphasis being laid on physical fitness, with that players are regularly going to the gym, thereby improving on their power, ability to clear the field has become that much more simpler. This has given rise to the concept of Power Hitting. Also the standards of fielding has drastically improved because of the emphasis on Physical Fitness. He also felt that with the modern game in place, there are different formats in place-Test, ODI and T-20 each requiring different skills and so each format requires specialized skill sets

On Home Conditions Versus Foreign Conditions:
As per Coach Srinivasan, every team has the advantage of home conditions. In England they have swinging conditions. In Australia they have bouncy tracks and in Asia you have spinning tracks. It is not very easy to adapt to a condition. You can adapt and become a master of particular condition. Over a period of time you can become an expert on other surfaces as well. For that you have to play on different surfaces right from your childhood.  This is where we at Gen-next make a difference by making our children to play on different kinds of surfaces. We make play matted surfaces, concrete, and turf. The young boys have to understand the bounce and deviations, how to position themselves, adapt themselves to different playing conditions and adjust their games accordingly.

On Coaching:
Srinivasan says that  coaching  can help to a certain extent, beyond that match exposure is required, basis which the coach understands their strengths and weakness. Technique is very important, here is where a good coach helps in correcting a faulty technique. Once this is done it all depends on the player and how he performs. The coach or the parents should not pressurize, but encourage the child. Cricket like any other sport has its own fair share of ups and downs. The coach should give only small targets initially. Coaches need to understand the temperament, or lack of it, concentration, physical condition, of each and every player and accordingly plan out his own coaching methods.

Role of Parents:
Coach Srinivasan feels that the Parents have a very important role to play for their success in a sport like Cricket. They have to instill a sense of discipline in their children. Parents need to send the children in time for practice, for that they need to insist that the child is in bed by 9 pm, and that get up in time.  The child's diet requirements needs to be taken care of. Parents need to first of all understand what diet best suits their child, how of proteins and carbohydrates is required. This will thus ensure that the child gets a balanced diet. It is indeed the duty of the parent to keep encouraging the child by giving them confidence.

On Ashwin:
Srinivasan feels that Ashwin is a self made cricketer. He has his own thoughts on the game and is a very fast learner even today. He recalls that ahead of the New Zealand series Srinivasan had suggested a few changes in his batting style which Ashwin practiced and implemented immediately as a result of which he got a lot of runs against New Zealand and England.

On setting the Expectations Right and the Goals right for the Child:
Every child wants to enjoy the game. It is the Parent who has this expectation that his child should play for the country. The child has to learn to play the game,he has play matches , and perform his role to the best of his abilities. he has to go through a selection process, either at city level or the district level.Once they clear this they are selected by the state board to play matches within the state. Every child is not destined to be a cricketer but will be a success in his own chosen field. Every child has a unique talent, It is the duty of the coach and parents to identify and develop those talents.  At Gen-nest it is our responsibility to create a sportsperson, we alter lifestyles.  We focus on physical fitness, and help in developing a love for the game. Srinivasan says that he does more of parenting, tries to understand what a kid can achieve according to his skills and abilities and takes him one step ahead. The child has to enjoy the game, learn the game, be a good human being, focus on physical fitness, and nutrition.  Cricket is a team sport so at Gen-Next we also focus on inter-personal relationships.

Coach Srinivasans message to budding young cricketers:
Srinivasan stresses and rightly so that cricket being a physical game, firstly prime fitness is required. Secondly, skill is required. To develop Skill practice needs to be purposeful. The Cricketer has to get closer to what he faces in the center. he needs to be scientific in his approach to food, and  most importantly, measure his performance, whether you are lagging behind, or on in line with his goals. He feels that the world is only about performance. same is with cricket. Pressure has to be taken in a positive sense. t will do a world of good to talk to different people or read about people who have played the game.Inspiration drawn is very It needs to be insisted that the youngster right from his childhood gets to watch matches in the stadium especially international matches.  Srinivasan even today loves to read a lot of cricket. For him state cricketers,Kedar, and balaji are mentors.  Coach Srinivasan draws inspiration from international players like Martin Crowe and Greg Chappel. In conclusion Srinivasan says that not everyone who is good at academics gets to be a topper in life while those who are average or mediocre are doing really well. It is the duty of the coaches and parents to bring out the unique qualities in each and every child and that is our prime responsibility at Gen-next. Let the tribes of the likes of Coach Srinivasan grow in abundance.

Straight Drive with Ramesh

Saare jahaan se achha hindostaan hamaraa
Hum bul bulain hai is kee, ye gulsitan hamaraa

Better than all the world, is our India
We are its nightingales and this is our garden

Yes we are proud to be Indians, We love our motherland and are extremely passionate about our country, wherever we are. We are indeed India's Nightingales and we chirp a melodious note, wherever we belong. At Gen-next we believe that Cricket is truly a global sport and encourage young cricketers from all across the globe to take up the sport. In the next few months you will see us morphing into an international institute with robust exchange programmes in place, that will cater to international audiences.

We began our blog this day in a very patriotic manner, in fact these lines tug the heart of every Indian residing in India and abroad. In this blog we are proud to feature Mr Ramesh who sent his son to be coached and mentored at Gen-next. It was indeed our pleasure chatting up with him in this edition of Straight Drive. Ramesh comes across as a very passionate Indian, like all of us, a doting parent who his eager to see his son realize his dreams, never for a moment losing out on those fun moments which is what we are about. Its now over to Mr. Ramesh and our friendly correspondent.

A small introduction about yourself and your family

We are family of four. I work for a Swiss based Insurance company based out of Dubai as Head of Technology. My wife Anu has just re-initiated her career and works with an UK based operations firmWe have twins, Sanjay and Sruthi. They are studying in Grade X in Kings Al Barsha.  Sanjay and Sruthi are on a scholarship. Sanjay is on a cricket scholarship and plays for his school and other teams.

Every Indian is crazy about cricket. Where and how did your association with the game begin?

As rightly said, cricket runs in our blood and passion on the sport is beyond borders. My association with the game started at a very early age, when I used to watch lot of cricket from my childhood days.  I grew up watching the legendary players like Kapil Dev, Gavaskar, Sir Viv Richards, David Gower, Allan Border, Imran Khan, Clive Lloyd, Kris Srikkanth and the list goes on.I also grew up playing cricket in my school for in house and external tournaments which was one of the key motivating factors for the interest in the game. Being a natural left hander and especially during early days there were not much of left handers, it was always exciting to go out and play in the middle.

Gen-Next in Chennai and you are based in Dubai.  How did this happen? Meaning your son trained here so what made you to choose Gen-Next

My association with Gen Next can be termed in different ways.  Either you can term scientifically that likeminded people get connected irrespective of which geography they are based or good things are destined to happen from an optimistic point of view.It was also for the affinity which was there for Ashwin which was one of the key reasons. I cannot forget to thank Mr. Sudarshan, COO of GenNext for igniting the spark in establishing this wonderful relationship and ensuring its continued success.Gen Next was an obvious choice for a variety of reasons.  The key principles of Gen Next surrounding keeping it simple and constantly innovating on the training methods along with Brand Ashwin made it truly extraordinary.  The coaching staffs are a delight to work with and it’s a true combination of concrete / solid expertise with humility.  Obviously, spending every minute with Ash is a true gift for the boys. I was impressed with Gen Next for a variety of reasons and some of them are:

  • Varied innovative techniques
  • Friendly and adaptability to all age groups
  • Ashwin’s mentorship

Can you tell us a little about your son and his interest in cricket. At what level is he right now as far as the game of cricket is concerned?  Does he represent any team?

Sanjay is studying in Year X in Kings, Al Barsha based in Dubai. He is an all-rounder and plays for Kings and other teams. During his recent stint at Gen Next, Sanjay went through a transformation from a pace bowler to off spinner. The transition was made so seamless by his coach Srinivasan Sir and with ease, at the same time getting the best out of him.

We are keen to understand how coaching at Gen-Next has influenced you as a parent and your son as a cricketer. Can you share some wow moments at Gen-Next?
For me, cricket is my all-time passion.  The kind of individual focus and attention with a sense of discipline and commitment sums up the credibility of Gen Next. Each and every coaching and support staff are extremely knowledgeable and handle students across all age groups so effectively. The balance is also well struck in making the students sweat it out to gain something extraordinary and take them through that journey. As a parent, every penny invested in Gen Next has its own worth and quality to the core. Sanjay has evolved a lot after his exposure to Gen Next.  This has been across different aspects like the overall aspects of the game, physical fitness, regulated diet and getting exposed to match situations. To be honest, I was bit pessimistic when Sanjay wanted to become an off spinner as he was bowling good pace and getting his line right. When I watched him play a few matches in Gen Next, he was bowling off spin and that was a treat to my eyes.  I don’t have enough words to thank Sudarshan, Srinivasan Sir, Raman and entire staff at Gen Next.Whenever I happen to be in Chennai, I make it a point to go and spend some time there talking to Sudarshan and others.  It always gives me a warmth feeling talking to them and delight to see the kids getting coached in innovative ways.

Have you met Ashwin. If so when and what was it like meeting him for the first time?
Yes, I have met Ashwin.  I have come across Ashwin as a vibrant, shrewd and observing personality.  He is a down to earth and lively individual and extremely knowledgeable to talk. I have come across Ash as a person who speaks his mind and heart.

Can you relate some interesting anecdote involving you and Ashwin or your son and Ashwin
When Ash was conducting the cricket clinic in Dubai, was watching him closely.  To my surprise I was amazed how he remember the name of each and every kid and gave recommendations and suggested improvisations.  I used to sneak in between the sessions with a cup of black coffee and wanted to ensure he gets to drink something. Though some of the support staff and drivers did offer to carry the coffee, I made it a point to give it myself to Ash and that’s where the affinity came to the fore. What I did notice was the kind of regard and respect he shows to fellow humans floored me and truly this is the root of extraordinarily good culture. There was another instance where Ash and I were discussing about something, he mentioned if I request for something that should have been done yesterday. This just reminded me of how demanding I could be in my work life and how my peers / team would have felt.  This is just on the lighter side though.

Champions trophy only a few months away in fact just about two months away. Any guesses who will take the trophy home and why? Will South Africa shed their chokers tag finally. Can India reign supreme once again.
Obviously, beyond any doubt any Indian would want India to win Champions trophy.Whilst, I would fancy on India, there could be stiff competition from England, Australia and South Africa.  I also feel Bangladesh could be the underdogs. As far as South Africa is concerned, they are world class team and no doubt sometime you need luck and timing on your side to sneak through.  Could be a lucky year for South Africa!!!Beyond any doubt, India will reign supreme!!!

Cricket scenario in Dubai? And the coaching infrastructure there?
Cricket lovers are abundant in Dubai.  Dubai is truly multi-cultural and one of the vibrant places in the world. There are considerable number of cricket academies in Dubai and most of the schools have their own cricket teams. As far as coaching infrastructure is concerned, it has a combination of indoors and outdoors.  In summer, the coaching is more of indoors and other seasons, the weather conditions are favorable for outdoor sessions. There is a bit of dearth for Level 3 coaches and it’s a growing domain.

Your advice to both the parents and their budding young ambitious cricketers.

I always believe in “hanging in there” whatever the personal and professional situation could be. I also believe in keep hitting it hard until you get the desired results.I am not sure if I have the age and experience to advice, but certainly can recommend. My recommendation to parents is to understand your kids and current generation and exhibit patience and commitment, leading by example.  Support to your children by all means is the highlight who are the budding cricketers of the future.Ambitious cricketers are identified by virtue of their display of mental fitness / stability, continued hard work, receptive to failures and reacting positively and lastly setting bigger goals in order to scale greater heights.

Straight Drive with Santosh-Ghilli Days

There is nothing as exciting as spending the time on a cricket field on a Sunday understanding the finer nuances of the game. There can be nothing better than finding the sweet spot on a cricket bat, no more happiness and sound when the ball hits the center of the bat, the ball ricochets off the bat, whizzes past the bowler with a sweet humming sound. Our blogs are meant to create the same kind of noises, a pleasure to the eyes when you read them, and a feeling of all empowering knowledge at the end of the reading.

A game of cricket is becoming more of a mind game with the advent of technology. Its now being referred to as a game within a game. There is so much happening on a cricket field: Planning, Team Management, Innovation, Gamesmanship, Thought. Game of Cricket all the while. On this lovely Sunday morning it is indeed a pleasure bringing to all you Straight Drives from the bat of Santosh, a coach at Gen-next and a childhood friend of Ashwin. Its a fun chat all the way. Santosh is also an Engineer by profession and a whiz at numbers, you can quiz him on numbers like the number of the two wheeler he owned some ten years back he will be quick at rattling it off. A Talking Walking Computer indeed. Here is Sanch as we fondly call him at Gen-next

The conversation that we had today was a relaxed one, it started that way and ended in a even more relaxed fashion, more of that later. Santosh was quick to point out about the match going on in the center. He said "look at them playing in such a relaxed manner. They are not worried about anything, not the result, not the consequence, runs were flowing, wickets falling, yet the game goes on the only intention being fun and that is how the game needs to be played. Sehwag used to play the game in a similar fashion to such an extent that the first ball four became a trademark prerequisite expectation from the fans off Sehwag."

Santosh and Ashwins relationship go a long way back, to their childhood days. Santosh used to play for St Bedes and Ashwin for PSBB, thats when they stuck to each other in a rather curious way. While playing against each other Santosh got Ashwin out, in a 45 over game, but in the game called life they were to become friends for a lifetime. Santosh does not recollect this incident because he got Ashwin out but because Ashwin remembers this incident and recalls it fondly even today. They both got into the same school in their plus two days and thats where the bond between them grew even stronger-12B days. Santosh and Ashwin would travel to school together by bus-12B and then off to practice and matches. On one instance they did not get to catch the bus so they walked all the way home.

Santosh was eager to reflect on his childhood days with Ashwin. Flashback time. Goes back to 2004 when the Tamil blockbuster Ghilli featuring popular Tamil star Vijay got released. Those days all the three young budding stars Aravind, Santosh and Ashwin were Vijay fans and an even more eager fan was Santosh. Now some data points here. The Trio would gather around in Santosh's house and watch Ghilli every day. Santosh claims that he must have seen the movie at least fifty times. The movie had become such a craze with these three that they would mute the sound and then enact the entire movie with the exact dialogue.

In a students lifetime the school and college days have to be the most enjoyable and Santosh has quite a few tales to tell us. Once while in their college the Tantalizing Trio-Ashwin, Aravind and Santosh were travelling together after finishing their exams. In a particularly difficult Maths paper, both Ashwin and Santosh could not solve a particular question. Aravind sounded victorious and one sleeve up as he had apprently solved that problem and gave the answer as 128. Result time, Ashwin and Santosh had cleared the paper. Sorry not this time around Aravind, better luck next time. Now Ashwin and Santosh were quite puzzled as Aravind had given an answer to a difficult question. Pat came the reply from Aravind "Oh I heard someone telling the answer."

On another occasion again exam time, this time Santosh transformed himself to a teacher and both Aravind and Ashwin his students, both Ashwin and Aravind came out with flying colors, better luck next time around Santosh.

Santosh refers to Ashwin as a thinking cricketer. He was always adept at defending small totals. As per Santosh, Ashwin would tie up one end with his economical bowling, and ensure that wickets fall at the other end. Eventually Ashwin has transformed himself into an ace wicket taking match winner. On one of those days when wickets were difficult to come by Ashwin started to imitate different bowlers each ball of the over, and one of those balls where he bowled much before the crease, ahead of the end of his bowling run up he did end up getting a wicket in this over. Its never about how you do different things but how you do things differently. So pertinent with regards to the game of cricket.

At Gen-next its always about playing cricket the fun way. Now reasons for relating all these incidents serves many a purpose. All these youngsters be it Ashwin, Aravind or Santosh have had a very normal childhood. they have been through all that that life has to offer tough time, happier times, challenging times and yet each one of them have never missed out on the fun moments which they will cherish for a lifetime. Today we were a witness to a conversation between Mr. Ravichandran and one of the young cricketers. Sir was advising the cricketer to go with the flow and enjoy the game of cricket. Have fun, be in the moment, love the training and forget about the consequences. That in a way reflects on our philosophy that we flow at Gen-next. We are sure that the if the principles that we seek to impart are followed implicitly, it will make a youngster a successful person in his chosen field of specialization.

We as an institute are never to lag behind when it comes to fun and entertainment. Come join us in all the fun that we have while playing and learning cricket. Have an enjoyable Sunday while Santosh and Aravind took up the Ishanth face challenge at Gen-next

Straight Drive

We at Gen-next are very clear about a few things, to be extremely open and transparent about our processes and the way we function. The idea is that our readers, patrons, children, fan fraternity of Ashwin appreciate the kind of work being put in at Gen-next and at the same time get to know us better. With that in mind we bring to you this article called Straight Drive where we will feature internal stakeholders of Gen-next, their association with Gen-next and the Ashwin factor in all of it.

Today we bring to you a very well executed Straight Drive right from the middle of the bat of Aravind who is our coach at Gen-next. To tell you a little about Aravind,he is an Engineer by profession and a childhood friend of Ashwin. Their association goes back to their playing days. For Aravind Cricket is his first love and nothing gives him more happiness than coaching.

That is Aravind for you our super star Coach. You can walk into Gen-next and have a conversation with him any time. He went into a time wrap mode yesterday to reveal a lot of Trivia about Ashwin:

Trivia 1: Ashwin has a sweet tooth.

Once during the Under 10 days, the kids travelled to Bangalore to play a few matches. During one of the days they were about to wrap up things and leave the place. They had to board the bus. Everyone boarded the bus except for Ashwin. Clearly Ashwin had bowled the wrong one. No one had any clue about the wherebouts of Ashwin except for Aravind. so quickly he rushed to a nearby hotel where Ashwin was found feasting on his favorite sweet Rasagolla.

Trivia 2: Opening batsman and Opening bowler

Yes you heard it right, Ashwin in his initial playing days used to be a opening batsman and a opening fast bowler. It was all this way until one day Ashwin's coach asked him to try bowling off spin, rest as all of us know is history.

Friendship writ large all over his face when we at Gen-next probed Aravind about his childhood days. There was a palpable sparkle in his eyes when we probed him about his childhood. One of those days as 11 year olds while playing together, a couple of friends including Ashwin wandered into a huge bungalow which had an equally large ground. Grounds for kids would mean the temptation to indulge in cricketing ways. So the kids decided to indulge in few hits with bat and ball. Promptly the old lady of the house decided to come out and warn the kids against playing. But who was in a mood to listen....the kids continued. Aravind recalls that at that point of time Ashwin was quite tall for his age. So the game went one for some time, until a eight year old burly looking boy appeared on the scene. He quickly whipped a knife out of his pocket. Our brave-hearts eleven year old's fell at the eight year old's feet and beat a quick hasty retreat.

Aravind recalls that their parents were very close friends right from the initial days. Aravind first met Ashwin when he was 8 years old. Ashwin in those days was representing his school playing for Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan and Aravind represented Santhome Higher Secondary School. Both of them came together for a team called TSR. Friendship struck, parents became close, and together the entire families would travel together to watch the matches. Cricket bought several such families together. In fact the presence of the parents was acknowledged by the children in a rather humorous manner. DDCA came to be formed-Deadly Daddy Cricket association. There is definitely a moral to this entire string of incidents.Parents are encouraged to be along with the children while they train or travel for the matches and this can be a huge moral support for the child.

Aravind's Thoughts on Coaching:

He believes that each child is unique. he adds that all the coaches at Gen-next follow the Ashwin Gen-next Bible of coaching . The philosophy of Gen-next is a three charter step forward to produce Good human beings,Better person in life, to be a supremely fit athlete, finally become a cricketer who enjoys the sport. We at Gen-next focus on the process and the end result takes care of itself.  Aravind feels that Parents have as much as an important role as the coaches. He adds that as a coach at Gen-next he and all the other staff are open to feedback. Parents are most welcome to interact with the coach.  He adds by saying that if Parents spend quality time with the coaches, some useful tips can be passed on which then can be practiced at home.End of Day it is the Parents who are and who will always be the best coaches for their children.

At Gen-next equal and unhindered opportunity is given to all the kids in practice games, when the competitive matches come up best eleven are chosen. Aravind laments that Coaching methodology used at the school level is not up to the mark. Coaches at schools control the game from the boundary line. There is unnecessary pressure at the school level to win tournaments, leading to disappointments and unfulfilled careers. At Gen-next we are interested in the implementation of our set processes and allowing the child to gradually fall in love with the game.  Children are coached and mentored and if they are not comfortable with some process or a coaching method, they are given adequate freedom to approach the coaches with the issues that they are facing. Aravind adds that Schools should be playing playing more 50 over games, where emphasis will clearly be on skills and fitness.

At gennext Coaches stress on the values of team spirit and follow the principle themselves as a team, among colleague coaches. We are extremely open. there is no question sugar coating.  We do not believe in giving any false hopes. We only encourage constructive feedback for the benefit of our children. Aravind signed off by saying that Cricket is a sport, effort should be made to enjoy the game. We at Gen-next only work towards "To Create Tomorrow's Cricketing Superstars."

Gen-next Cricket Institute-Creating Tomorrow's Cricketing Superstars

At the very outset we would like to thank all our parents and young budding cricketers for having reimposed their faith on us. Without your kind patronage we would not have been where we stand today. We are extremely happy and proud to bring before you, yet another initiative from Gen-next Cricket Institute, an exclusive blog page. Through these blog pages we will strive to bring to you exciting news and updates from the World of Cricket and latest happenings at Gen-next Cricket Institute.

We are very clear from the day we started this Cricket Institute, that is to be a clear differentiator in the field of coaching and not to be one more run of the mill Training Center for Cricket. Our Motto is To Create Tomorrow's Cricketing Superstars. All the steps and processes that we design lay centered around our Motto. All the coaching techniques that we follow are to ensure that we stand by our objective. Our Coaches and staff are trained and mentored to fall in line with our corporate goals. The aim of this particular blog is to give you our dear readers a glimpse some of the processes that we follow.

We have invested in the very best of infrastructure to ensure that our wards are exposed to the very best of cricketing equipments and latest technology. Take for instance our bowling machine. A lot of institutes can boast of bowling machines but here we ensure that they are made best use of. In this case for instance, the batsman in question had a knack of edging the ball to the slips. We had to ensure that he got rid of this habit. So the correction in this case would be for him to go on to the back-foot, while allowing the ball to come on to the bat. Right usage of the bowling machine is very important to correct a faulty batting technique.

It is insisted from day one that the bowlers bowl the right lengths. We often see in international matches how a wrong length can cost a lot of runs. At our institute the bowlers are trained to bowl at predetermined spots to ensure that they get their line and length right.

We use several innovative methods to ensure that our players get used to variable amounts of pace and spin. In this case use of a tennis racket ensures that a batsman gets used to that extra bit of pace and bounce.

Catch them young as in most cases when it comes to the sporting arena and so we ensure that all of our wards are given top class attention so that they stand corrected at a tender age. The bowling run-up, the action, the way to grip the ball, the use of the crease all becomes so very important. Here in our institute we ensure that our coaches are there focusing all their energies on each and every aspect of the game from close quarters.

Is it enough for a batsman to hold a bat and hit the shots as prescribed. No there is clearly much more to this art. The balance of the body and the position of the head all come into play. Our coaches have designed methods to ensure that the batsman does not fall out of place while facing a delivery.

We ensure proper upkeep and maintenance of our infrastructure. We have match standard turfs that is watered and maintained on a daily basis by our own dedicated staff.

Each minutest of detail is taken care of. Each step that we take is in the larger interest of our wards who have placed their faith on us. We feel accountable for their performance on field and therefore we find it necessary to report back to the parents on how their children are performing on the field. We have prescribed reporting formats that show the parents the progress on a monthly basis.

We have well qualified and dedicated staff to give off their very best, and we leave no stone unturned to ensure that we remain glued to our objectives. Just to give you an instance we have Coach Srinivasan who comes all the way from Selaiyur (a suburb in Chennai a good 25 kms away) to coach the children and he does it twice a day.

Then we have the ever reliable Coach Aravind who used to play along with Ashwin in his school days.

All of it is managed by our young and energetic COO, Sudarshan

Each stone at our institute has a story to tell. Do visit our facility and tell us what we can do better. We also have planned a sixty day summer camp, each day has been planned to a micro level and we want to ensure that each student as a part of the camp is advised to take the next step forward, above all the icing on the cake has to be, each child as a part of the camp gets to be mentored by the World's best all rounder, Ravichandran Ashwin. For Further details regarding the camp do get in touch with Sudarshan on his Mobile: 9841784061.

Do follow our blogs and leave us with your valuable feedback. We promise to keep writing back to you, about our coaches, our facilities, our promising stars and much much more.

Cric-Tok with Russel Arnold

When we started Cric Tok, it was to involve a famous personality from the world of Cricket. I as its editor in chief never imagined it ...
